2012 NSW Membership and Discipline Registration is now available for new and renewing members.

Perisher to Open this Saturday 2nd of June
Thanks to the heavy early snowfalls, low temperatures and continued snowmaking, Perisher will open this Saturday June 2.
All the proceeds from the ticket sales from the 2nd and 3rd of June will be donated to the local community. Tickets are $35 for Adults and $20 for Children per day.
The Village Right express, a magic carpet and terrain park will be open 9am – 3pm.

Alpine Officials Training Courses - Level 1 Accreditation
This officially recognised training course is for parents, teachers, coaches and volunteers
who may be assisting at Interschool, Club, SSA or FIS Alpine races.
The 2 hr course covers the role of the official, race safety, race rules, race organisation, time keeping and use of radio communications. It is aimed at both new volunteers and those who accreditation has expired and need a refresher course (those accredited prior to 2008).

The Perisher XC Ski Trials and Nordic Shelther
As you drive into Perisher Valley this winter, look to the left for a different point of view. The Perisher cross country (XC) ski trails and the Nordic Shelter are located on the south side of the road.
You will see skiers of all descriptions and skill levels skiing along the new Valley Trail. On weekends you are likely to see masses of skiers around the Nordic Shelter competing, training, socializing and having fun.
The Nordic Shelter is a public day shelter for XC skiers, located at the trailhead for the Perisher XC trail system.

SSA Futures 'Athlete of the Future Moguls Development' Camp
The ‘Athlete of the Future Moguls Development’ camp is now under the banner of Ski and Snowboard Australia’s Futures camp programs. The camp will now be named SSA Futures, ‘Athlete of the Future’ Moguls Development camp. SSA Futures camps provide opportunities to young athletes in their pathway to becoming an elite athlete. SSA Futures run camps in most winter sports disciplines.

2012/2013 NSWIS Scholarship Holders
NSW Snowsports wish to congratulate our member athletes who have recently been announced as 2012/13 NSWIS Scholarship holders. These athletes have been selected based on their overseas performances and achievement of NSWIS selection criteria’s.
The program targets athletes in squad programs for the disciplines of freestyle moguls, snowboard halfpipe, boarder cross and ski cross. These programs provide selected athletes with world class training facilities and coaching with a focus on supporting athletes competing at an open international level, which is vital leading into the Sochi 2014 qualification period.
A special congratulations to Peter Miliken, Rebecca Wyatt, Tim Easdale and Jarryd Hughes who are first time scholarship holders.
