NSW Snowboard Update (Northern Hemisphere)

It has been an outstanding season for NSW Snowboarders, most of whom are still overseas with just one or two more comps left in their programs.

The standout results have come from 16 year old Jarryd Hughes who has burst onto the Boarder Cross World Cup scene with a 10th place at his first World Cup last month in Stoneham, Canada. This followed a podium (3rd) at the US Grand Prix – the biggest boarder cross event in the USA with all the top riders there. Jarryd finished in front of some class riders including our own former World Champion Alex Chumpy Pullin (6th at Stoneham), who just couldn’t find the podium this year, despite often being the fastest qualifier, and multiple X-Games gold medallist Nate Holland (USA).
